Reservations
Reservations can be made in person at the OP Barn, located on the corner of East 18th Avenue and University Street, or by calling the Barn at 541-346-4371, during open hours. Only two like items per order. Payment of half the total rental cost is required to confirm booking. No refunds will be given for reservations.
Returns
All returns must be made during our rental hours. Please return gear at least one hour before closing. Do not leave equipment outside of the OP Barn.
Late Charges
Equipment returned late will be assessed the daily charge per day late. Items that are free to rent will be assessed a $10 fee per day.
Repairs, Cleaning, and Damage
Allow 15–30 minutes for items to be inspected upon return. We understand that gear gets wet, but all gear must be returned clean. Please do not launder sleeping bags or wash tents. The renter is responsible for paying all necessary repair work including shipping and handling fees. Cleaning, repair, and damage fees will be determined by rental staff on a case-by-case basis.
Theft and Lost Gear
The University of Oregon, the Outdoor Program, and OP staff are not responsible for the loss or theft of rented gear. If equipment is not returned, the renter will be charged a replacement fee. If the equipment is returned within five working days, the replacement fee will be refunded.
Equipment Cancellation Policy
- 15 days or more notice: No cancellation fee
- 8–14 days notice: $50 cancellation fee
- 7 days or less notice: 50% of the reserved items' total cost will be charged.
