Whether you are an experienced explorer or a newbie, the Outdoor Program is excited to help facilitate your next trip. We offer a variety of class and clinics, bike rides and events, service projects, and group trips and events planned by Outdoor Program staff and co-op members.

Jared is heading to Hoodoo again! This will be a ski/board resort day topped off with a dip in Belknap Hotsprings.
Cost: $41 lift tickets, $12 lessons, $18 rentals, $8 hot spring.

A weekly, drop-in class designed to offer you individualized, hands-on instruction in bike maintenance. Do you want to learn how to change a flat, adjust your brakes, or true your wheels? Sign-up and get ready to learn!
Every Monday 1/22- 2/26. Sign-up in the Bike Program in the EMU. $10/session.
Learn the joy of fixing your own bicycle with professional instruction from Al Hongo and Bike Program student mechanics in our DIY Workspace. This six-session course will teach you to repair and maintain a standard road, mountain, or commuter bike.
$65/six-session course. Sign-up at the Bike Program in the EMU. This course is offered every term from week 3- week 8.
Become a Trip Initiator and lead trips for the OP! This clinic teaches you about OP philosophy, liability, trip planning, and safety procedures.
Ready for a challenge? Take the next step in your bike maintenance journey by attending this 3-session workshop with professional instruction from Al Hongo. During this clinic you will plan, lace and tension your own wheel.
$35/3-session course. Sign-up at the Bike Program in the EMU or the Outdoor Program Barn.
Practice your kayaking skills in a supportive environment; practice rolling, strokes and meet other kayakers! Attend one, some, or all of the sessions.
$4/session with a kayak and $6/session with kayak rental. Sign-up at the Outdoor Program Office in the EMU or the Outdoor Program Barn.
For Wilderness First Responder certified folk – brush up on your skills and knowledge with this review and practice session in preparation for spring and summer adventures. Sign up at the OP Office (EMU) or at the Outdoor Program Barn. Sign Up is FREE!
Come have fun skiing and boarding on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor with Jonathan and Violet! It might seem like Spring, but wait!!! There is snow on the way! (insert snow emoji) #prayforsnow

Take a break from studying/grading to enjoy a day in the mountains. As a group, we’ll travel to Hoodoo Ski Area in the Cascade Range to play in the snow. While geared toward graduate students, undergraduates are welcomed to participate.
Cost: Day passes are $41, lessons are $12, rentals are $18, gas $8-10
Gear: Equipment rentals can be obtained at Hoodoo or OP barn.
Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Thursday March 1st, 4pm at the OP Office.
Get ready for Spring Break Bike Touring and learn how to pack for bike touring, and explore some great places to go with you bike on extended journeys!

“2 birds in one trip!” Come blow off some stress and check out these two Eugene Favorites! See the many hawks, owls, eagles and more at the nearby raptor center, then take a leisurely hike up Spencer Butte for some great views (and bird sighting opportunities)! Bring binoculars, or check some out from the OP (limited number available – first come first serve).
