Week of Welcome

Week of Welcome

For all incoming Ducks - freshmen, transfer, and international students! Start the school year off right by discovering two of the best features of Oregon: its great outdoors and the UO Outdoor Program. These trips are designed for all new students at the University: transfers, graduates, exchange students, and incoming freshmen. There is no better way to make new friends and explore the area. The trips are designed to accommodate the beginner, while providing opportunities for the more advanced outdoors enthusiast. Basic equipment can be rented from the Outdoor Program at inexpensive rates. Don’t miss out! To Sign up for all trips, you must attend the open house on Thursday, October 1st at our open house in the Outdoor Program barn (1225 E. 18th Ave). Bring enough cash to secure a spot on the trip you would like to go on (exact change). During the Open House, you will have the chance to enter a raffle to attend one of the many trips during the first two weekends of Fall term. Pre-trips will be held in the barn after the raffle. These trips include coastal and waterfall hikes, kayaking and paddleboarding, mountain biking, and more!
