Spring Thing!

If you haven't heard of Spring Thing, you best check out this link, as well as sign up for the trip. Spring Thing is an annual volunteer based clean up and restoration event at Smith Rock State Park held each Spring. The Smith Rock Group organizes the event in partnership with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department to put on a fantastic event with food, raffles, free camping and the tools needed for the work.

Because of the increased visits to Smith Rock throughout the year, this event helps keep our State Park beautiful and in good condition for both our use and the critters who live there too. If you care about the longevity of your State Parks, this trip is for you! We're going to camp at the park's bivy on the first night and then in the boonies at Skull Hollow. We'll be volunteering on Saturday, enjoying a provided dinner and raffles; and on Sunday we can decide as a group on what activities people want to do. The group can bike, hike, run, climb or send it over to Bachelor if they wish. Sign up today and tell your friends!
