Lower Lower McKenzie Kayaking

Ethan is looking for people who want to get out on a river, sit down in some boats, and stand up as allies for water protectors fighting the pipeline in North Dakota. The water protectors of the Lakotan Tribe, allied tribes, and general protesters are gearing up for the brutal North Dakotan winters in order to prevent a potentially unsafe pipeline being built. The group has been calling for warriors and proceeds to help their cause.  We are asking that in addition to paying the normal reduced rental fees and .50 per mile gas cost, participants make a donation of 10 dollars that will go towards buying hardware store gift cards/funding supply runs to North Dakota.  Paddle for a cause, and find out more information about these protests and other indigenous rights issues at the Many Nations Long House Speaker event this friday. On Saturday we'll be kayaking the lower lower McKenzie River, practicing our rolls and assisted rescuing skills, sign up ! If you would like a refresher on these things before hitting the McKenzie, please go to a kayak pool session.
