The UO Bike Program’s mission is to connect students to bikes.

In service to this mission, we:

  • Provide a bicycle support network for the University of Oregon
  • Provide students access to an affordable transportation options
  • Promote active lifestyles and environmental stewardship
  • Empower students through experiential learning opportunities

The UO Bike Program provides a broad bicycle support network for our University and greater community, including: bike and gear rentals, self-service maintenance shop, resources, trips, events and classes.

In 2008, we started a small Bike Loan Program offering 20 bicycles to students. The pilot project start-up was funded by a $5k grant from Clif Bar's "2-mile Challenge" and an ASUO Over-realized award of $18k in Spring 2008.

In Spring 2010, the UO Bike Program became a recognized Erb Memorial Union Program with permanent funding. Today we have over 100 bicycles in the fleet and offer bikes to rent for the day, term, or outfitted for an outdoor adventure!
