SERVICE PROJECT: Hendricks Park Restoration

Event Date:
Saturday, March 11, 2017 - 8:30am to 1:00pm

Did you know that we have an 80-acre expanse of mature forest right in the UO's backyard? Hendricks Park is a wonderful place to break your routine and enjoy the soft fascinations of a walk through the trees. The Outdoor Program is rounding up volunteers to pull ivy for the longevity of this local resource. We'll get intimate with the forest, clearing away invasive ivy and making room for native plants on the forest floor, then we'll explore the park with a relaxing nature walk. Bring boots that can get muddy - we'll provide gloves, tools, snacks and lunch!

Meet us at the OP Barn (1225 E. 18th Ave.) at 8:30am and we'll depart from there! Sign up online here.
