In collaboration with the 2016 HOPES conference (hopes.uoregon.edu), the eight-mile ride will depart from the Outdoor Program barn at 10am on Saturday, April 2nd and head west to Emerald and Opportunity Villages (http://www.squareonevillages.org/). While there we'll chat with local experts as well as residents. Plan to pack food for our picnic lunch along the way and expect to arrive back no later than 2:00 pm. Be prepared to bike with traffic and be sure to bring plenty of water. It is required that we all wear helmets and close-toed shoes. Please bring a non-perishable food item to the community members as a thank you. If you need a bike, you are welcome to rent one from the Outdoor Program for $5. Please make a reservation in advance. Be sure to register for this event to guarantee your spot.
