Great Willamette Clean Up 2016

Event Date:
Saturday, October 1, 2016 - 8:45am to 1:00pm

The Willamette River needs your help! This year on October 1st, volunteers from across Oregon will be cleaning up sites along the Willamette River from Oakridge to Portland. The Outdoor Program is excited to take on the section of river from the Knickerbocker Bridge to EWEB on a walking and biking (land-based) clean-up. Sign up twice: once below and once with Willamette Riverkeeper to take part in this wonderful event! Bring a bike if you have one, or join one of our walking teams. We’ll meet at the grass circle on the south side of the Autzen Footbridge for a safety briefing before setting out to clear trash from this heavily recreated section of river in UO’s front yard. Come prepared with closed-toe shoes and a water bottle!

Afterwards, please join us for a Volunteer Thank You Party, from 1:00 - 3:00PM at the Ninkasi Brewing Event Center, 155 Blair St, Eugene, 97402Free lunch by Track Town Pizza, beverages by Ninkasi and Mountain Rose Herbes, Ice Cream by Red Wagon Creamery, music, raffle and more!
