Buford Park Service Project

Buford Park Service Project
Event Date:
Saturday, October 22, 2016 - 8:30am to 2:00pm

Mt. Pisgah is one of Eugene’s closest and most popular hikes, and it’s also a 209-acre tree museum! Join the Outdoor Program as we team up with Friends of Buford Park and Mt. Pisgah in A FLASH MOB restoration of oak habitat. We'll engage hikers passing by in removal of invasive species in the oak savannah! Participating in this service project is a great way to get your hands dirty while learning about plants native to the Willamette Valley. It takes a massive amount of volunteer effort to sustain this beautiful wildlife sanctuary. This project includes a subsequent walk in the park. Gloves, tools, and snacks will be provided- we just need your hands!
