Buford Park Service Project

Event Date:
Saturday, October 15, 2016 - 8:30am to 2:00pm

Mt. Pisgah is one of Eugene’s closest and most popular hikes, and it’s also a 209-acre tree museum! Join the Outdoor Program as we team up with Friends of Buford Park and Mt. Pisgah in their native plant nursery, an important first step to local habitat restoration efforts. Participating in this service project is a great way to get your hands dirty while learning about plants native to the Willamette Valley. It takes a massive amount of volunteer effort to sustain this beautiful wildlife sanctuary. After serving in the garden, we'll reflect on our good work with a hike in the park. Gloves, tools, and snacks will be provided- we just need your hands!
