Banff Mountain Film Festival

One of our annual traditions is the Banff Mountain Film Festival. For over 35 years, 15 years in Eugene, the Outdoor Program has sponsored and held the Banff Mountain Film Festival at the historical McDonald Theatre in downtown Eugene. The Banff Mountain Film Festival is the world’s premier outdoor movie tour. After expanding to a two-night event in 2000, attendance has grown every year, attracting sell-out crowds. We partner with prominent local and national outdoor companies to provide great raffle prizes to show patrons, and the lines for the showings often form hours before show time.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday, April 1 and are available at our fabulous co-sponsor’s shops: Backcountry Gear (1855 W 2nd Ave), REI-Eugene (306 Lawrence St.) and Tactics (375 W 4th Ave), as well as the EMU Ticket Office and all TicketsWest outlets. Service fees apply at EMU/TicketsWest.

$11 for UO Students and OP Co-op, $13 General Admission for each night (add $2 at door).

Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 7:00 PM; Doors open at 6:00 PM

Each year the Outdoor Program chooses a local charity to donate a portion of our proceeds to. This year we are excited to be donating these funds to Trips for Kids!
Off the street, off the couch, and into the wild, Trips for Kids - CAT provides mountain biking and other outdoor experiences for kids who don’t usually get the chance to enjoy nature outside their own backyards. A project of the Center for Appropriate Transport, Trips for Kids - CAT is a partnership with the parent organization, Trips for Kids. Founded in 2007, Trips for Kids-CAT has introduced hundreds of youth to the world of mountain biking in Lane County. Photos and videos can be viewed on the gallery at http://tfk.catoregon.org/.
